Is New Girl Order Fast Fashion? An Expert Breakdown!
Share
Fast fashion brands have been the trend lately in the fashion industry due to their quick production time, trendy designs, and cheap prices. They have enabled everyone to enjoy fashion, not just a certain class. While previously, people dreamed of shopping at luxury brands, now they can simply visit any fast fashion store and get a similar design at more than half the price!
However, grass often appears to be greener from the other side. Despite how accessible fast fashion has made fashion, it is wreaking terrible consequences for the planet. It is not simply about copying a design and reproducing it. Fast fashion is a model based on exploiting the Earth’s resources and using them in a way that further harms the Earth by discarding the products in landfills and releasing toxic wastes and greenhouse gases. This is why fast fashion clothes are always low priced because the manufacturers use cheap materials that lose their shine and color after only a few wears.
New Girl Order is a fast fashion brand that aims to provide bold and trendy designs for women to inspire confidence in them. It wants to reflect the inner fire within women by capturing it in clothes. This is one of the biggest powers of fashion, it allows you to express yourself without saying a word. The brand produces expressive clothing that is loud and urges everyone to take a second look.
Most of its designs are inspired by the 90s when modern female empowerment started taking off and women started to shrug off society to focus more on themselves. Maybe the brand wants to capture the essence of that era and the courage and confidence exuded by the women back then.
It has a vast collection for women featuring t-shirts, pants, dresses, and even swimsuits. While you can turn to New Girl Order to shop for a casual day out or an informal gathering with friends, it is not a go-to place for formal events such as weddings or work days.

New Girl’s Order does not have physical stores but it sells through H&M and ASOS. The products are moderately priced, they are neither too high nor too low but are good enough for middle-class customers to buy and be satisfied with. Its clothing, while bold, also offers cute designs with cherries embroidered upon dresses and pastel-colored clothes that make its collections more inclusive for women with different stylistic preferences.
Moreover, when it says that it wants to empower women and be a spot that all women can turn to, it means that not only does it cater to different preferences but also has plus sizes available in almost all garments. This may seem like the bare minimum but compared to other brands, it's admirable because brands have a habit of ignoring plus-sized women while putting out collections.
A disappointing thing is that only recently in October 2023, New Girl Order disappeared from the internet overnight and no one knows what happened to the brand. Its Instagram has not been updated since April and its website has been shut down because of which we were not able to gather a lot of information on the brand. Moreover, as it was a new brand, there was not much to find on the Internet either. Customers have flooded the comments section on Instagram wanting to know what went wrong. Many are speculating that the brand is a fraud and has disappeared after selling some items and gaining the trust of the people.
It is unknown what might have taken place but we are hoping to see the brand’s website working again soon. Until then, all we were able to gather was that New Girl Order cared about sustainability and ethicality but most of this comes from the brand itself and there is no proof proving all of this.
It works with the Soil Organic Association which aims to make sustainable clothing by helping small farms grow and using that material in the manufacturing process. As farming connotes a natural life, the collaboration also encourages people to leave the toxic life behind and start using more natural and organic materials that not only safeguard the planet but also have a positive impact on people.
The owners of the brand have taken it upon themselves to promote a healthy lifestyle overall because it is not only fashion that is fast today but almost all of our lives. Our means of transport, food, and consuming media all follow a fast pattern that is gratifying for the moment but has very negative impacts on our bodies, minds, and the planet.
However, the brand is not rated by The Fashion Transparency Index or the GoodOnYou directory and does not provide a Code of Conduct or Modern Slavery Statement. The latter may be due to its website being shut down recently but there has been no news of it anywhere on the internet except for frantic customers wondering when their orders will come through.
It has a rating of 2.1 on Trustpilot given by only 12 customers and most of them are dissatisfied with the service and the quality of the garments. Many have said that they doubt the company uses organic material as much as it talks about because the material feels quite cheap and worn out. As its manufacturing countries are not apparent, many think that it may be using China or developing countries to get the garments because the quality speaks for itself.
Overall, we can confirm that New Girl Order is a fast fashion brand but its efforts for sustainability and ethicality are doubtful until it is back on the Internet and provides credible proof for its claims.
